Hamid Beach

Hamid Beach is one of the favorite destinations in the Tanjung Uban area, offering a relaxed atmosphere typical of a local beach. With its wide shoreline, white sand, and cool sea breeze, this beach serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists alike to enjoy leisure time with family and friends.

Unlike commercial, resort-managed beaches, Hamid Beach has a more communal feel—naturally arranged and equipped with rows of wooden tables and chairs under the shade of trees. Along the beachfront, you'll find a line of local cafes and stalls serving fresh young coconuts, light snacks, and distinctive Bintan culinary delights such as gonggong (sea snails), otak-otak (grilled fish cakes), and mie lendir (a local noodle dish).

The atmosphere here is very lively in the late afternoon, especially as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. Many visitors enjoy relaxing while sipping young coconuts or savoring local snacks by the beach. The ambiance is simple yet authentic—offering an experience not found in modern tourist spots.

This beach does not charge an entrance fee, and there is no obligation to stay at any specific accommodation. Access to the location is very easy, taking only about 10–15 minutes from Tanjung Uban city center by vehicle. For tourists from outside the area, a car charter service is highly recommended for a more comfortable and flexible journey, especially if you wish to explore several beaches in northern Bintan at once.
