Jin Gang Shan Temple (Galang Batang Temple)

Jin Gang Shan Temple, locally known as Galang Batang Temple, is one of Bintan's most striking religious and cultural tourism destinations. Located in the hilly area of Gunung Kijang Village, this grand temple spans 38 hectares and blends a spiritual ambiance with the beauty of distinctive East Asian architecture.

Its prominent tiered roofs, red and gold ornaments, and typical Chinese Buddhist sculptural elements often lead to comparisons with temples in Thailand. Every corner of the complex is designed to be photogenic, making it a popular spot for selfies and visual content, especially during holidays like Chinese New Year.

Beyond its aesthetic value, Jin Gang Shan Temple also provides comprehensive facilities. There are public restrooms, resting areas, and a mini-market within the temple complex—interestingly, the sales proceeds are dedicated to social activities and temple maintenance.

Travel time from Tanjungpinang is about 45 minutes, and from the Trikora area, it's about 20–30 minutes. There is no entrance fee, but visitors are encouraged to maintain peace and etiquette while on the temple grounds.
