Embark on an adventurous hike through lush rainforests to Bintan's highest peak for panoramic views.
Mount Bintan is a popular natural destination in the heart of Bintan Island and is its only high-altitude hiking trail. With an elevation of approximately 340 meters above sea level, climbing Mount Bintan offers a challenging yet beginner-friendly adventure suitable for active families.
The 2–3 km hiking trail takes you through lush tropical rainforest, large roots sprawling along the footpath, and the calming sounds of nature. Along the way, you will encounter giant trees hundreds of years old and several refreshing small streams.
The average climbing time to the peak is 1.5–2 hours. Once at the top, you will be treated to a 360-degree panorama showcasing vast stretches of forest and the distant sea. This spot is perfect for nature lovers, landscape photography, or anyone seeking a peaceful atmosphere away from the beaches.
Although there is no official entrance fee, it is advisable to hike with a local guide for safety and a more informative experience. The forest trail can be slippery, especially during the rainy season, so appropriate footwear and drinking water are highly recommended.
Gunung Bintan is not included in the regular routes that are frequently visited. However, we are ready to serve special trips to this destination through private request.
